Do I need an appointment?

Appointments help, but if you have a warning light, brake concern, leak, noise, overheating issue, starting problem, or something that feels unsafe, call us.

We’ll do our best to get the vehicle in quickly so we can take a look and help you figure out what needs to happen next.

What if I’m not sure what service I need?

That is exactly why we are here.

Most customers do not know if they need brake repair, engine diagnostics, electrical work, cooling system repair, maintenance, or something simple. They just know the vehicle does not feel, sound, smell, or drive right.

Bring it in and we’ll help you sort it out.

Will you tell me if my car is safe to drive?

Yes. That is one of the most important things we do.

We’ll check the concern, explain what we find, and tell you whether it appears safe to keep driving, needs repair soon, or should not be driven until it is repaired.

What should I do if my check engine light is on?

Bring it in.

A steady check engine light usually means the vehicle needs diagnostic testing, but it may still be drivable depending on how it is acting.

If the check engine light is flashing, the vehicle is running poorly, shaking, losing power, or you smell fuel or burning, call us before driving further. A flashing check engine light can indicate a problem that may damage the engine or catalytic converter if ignored.

We’ll inspect the concern, diagnose the issue, and explain what needs attention now versus what can wait.

What should I do if my car is overheating?

Do not keep driving an overheating vehicle.

If the temperature gauge is rising, steam is coming from the engine bay, coolant is leaking, or the warning light is on, pull over safely and call us.

Overheating can cause serious engine damage quickly.

Do you give estimates over the phone?

We can give general guidance, but accurate pricing usually requires seeing the vehicle.

A noise, leak, warning light, vibration, overheating issue, or starting problem can have more than one cause. We would rather inspect it and give you a real answer than guess over the phone.

Do you charge for diagnostics?

In many cases, yes.

Diagnostics take time, testing, equipment, and experience. Our goal is to verify the problem before recommending repairs so you are not paying for guesswork.

We’ll explain any diagnostic charge before moving forward.

Can I wait while my car is being looked at?

Sometimes, yes.

For oil changes, maintenance, simple checks, or shorter visits, you may be able to wait. We have a waiting area with TV, free Wi-Fi, and coffee in the morning.

For diagnostics, leaks, noises, overheating, intermittent problems, or larger repairs, it is usually better to drop the vehicle off. Those concerns often take more time to inspect properly.

Call us first and we’ll help you plan the visit.

What vehicles do you work on?

Pops Automotive services European, Asian, and Domestic vehicles.

We work on BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Toyota, Honda, Lexus, Subaru, Ford, Chevrolet, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, and more.

Not sure if we service your vehicle? Call us and ask.

Do you work on brakes?

Yes. Bring it in if your brakes are grinding, squeaking, shaking, pulling, feeling soft, or taking longer to stop.

We inspect brake pads, rotors, calipers, brake fluid, ABS concerns, and related safety items.

Do you do oil changes and maintenance?

Yes.

We handle oil changes, filters, fluid services, spark plugs, inspections, factory-recommended maintenance, and pre-trip safety checks.

During maintenance, we also look for leaks, wear, safety concerns, and items that may need attention soon.

Do you work on A/C and heating?

Yes.

Bring it in if your A/C is blowing warm, airflow is weak, the vents smell strange, the heater does not work, or the defroster is not clearing the windshield.

We inspect A/C performance, leaks, blower issues, heater concerns, and climate control problems.

Do you use quality parts?

Yes. We use quality parts appropriate for the vehicle and the repair.

We’ll explain the repair options clearly before any work is done.

Will you do work without my approval?

No.

We inspect, explain what we find, and give you clear repair options before work is performed.

No surprise repairs.
